I know this may not be the best of first postings. However I really can not think of a better forum to post....
Here is what I am looking to do.
I am looking for somewhat inexpensive wifi hotspot for smaller areas, such as large homes. And I am looking for the following capabilities.
I want to use something like open NMS to monitor all of the hotspots.
I want to be able to segment my hotspot from the customers network. Very easily.
I want to be able to remotely do what ever I may need to this router and or hotspot type device.
I want to also have the ability to limit time on "free" wifi based on mac. so say a customer getting free refills is not at the same spot getting torrents for 8 hours. then set another time limit so that after x amount of time that mac address is allowed back onto the "free" wifi.
as a side note with the above. we were thinking that if the customer wanted to purchase time they could so that myself and the place getting the wifi could make some money.
Any ideas and / or suggestions?
