Link Parameters over distance

Hi all
just wondering if there could be a thread to give some particulars of every ones link to give some idea of what to expect from different distance links and gear.
eg.
Units used : Senao 2611 cb3+
Link distance : 22 klm
Throughput : varies from 1.5 to 3.5 mbps
Antenna gain each end : 24 dbi
Fresnel clearance as approx % : 100
Pig tail lengths : 50cm

This is part of my current setup that I want to upgrade to try and get at least a 20 mbps throughput out of.
I have been looking at forums for years and haven't seen this sort of information anywhere.
Maybe more or less info could be added but this would be a good starting point i think.

Eagerly awaiting for some responses.

Bobski

What is the SNR on the link ?
And what is the ACK set to on the radios?

The new Ubuquity Bullet M2's are available and are capable of 100 mbps 1 way .
They still have firmware bugs but are working. Check out there forums.

I'm running a pair of M5's right now , On a very short link.

Thanks Alan87i
I've been looking at that forum but it still doesn't have the throughput details which is the best indicator for me of the quality of a link. All the theoretical figures don't tell me anything especially when a link is over any distance. I've found some wireless gear doesn't work at all over a few k's no matter what the figures say.
I haven't got any snr or ack timing on the wireless I'm using.
I,m keen to see how throughput is affected with distance and that is why the post.
I have some links with some wrt54gl units and they say snr is 30db but they don't seem to work very well at all.

Thanks again for your input.

Consumer grade indoor equipment isn't built to go any great distance. The Ack is the main ingredient in a successful deployment. Once that is set properly the only main culprit to throughput efficiency would be link quality . Things like Fresnel clearance ( need quite a lot @ 22Km/s) and any other RF floating between your link points that may cause interference.
The simple answer is know matter what equipment is used you can't expect a typical value until the link is tested.
