Security Question

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I have a friend with a coffee house who wants to offer free wifi, but his POS system is also attached to the wireless. He is using Verizon DSL which offers the wireless out of the same box. His laptop and printer are on wireless as well as the POS, but if it is unsecured for the customers, so is the POS system. Another 3com router was installed which was supposed to segregate between the POS and customers, but that didnt work either. Not sure of the model # of the 3com or exactly what it is being I havent seen it yet, but can anyone offer any ideas what should be done to allow free wi fi, while still protecting the POS????

Not sure if you can piggy back another router off of the DSL router or something like that.

Thanks in advance!
