I tried the beta and the RC . Better than vista but unless you need the ability for more than 4 gb of memory to run huge apps on the latest hardware I don't see the point.
Old programs might not work and the learning curve. Just to set up a static IP so I can log into a radio for the first time takes me twice as long in 7 than in xp.
I would sooner load Ubuntu dual boot or even lood xp inside Ubuntu for the few windows only apps I need.

So far, so good for my Dell laptop. Its been solid and much faster load times for all my apps including boot-up over XP. And it just looks cleaner!

Seems to be about half and half. What are people paying for a single Windows 7 license?
