Unhappy Installing Wireless Printer Adapter

Hi all,
I am trying to re-install my HP Photosmart 7660 Printer for wireless operation, having recently reverted back to my old ISP, and have been issued with a new Router. I'm having difficulty in installing the wireless Adapter. The following message keeps re-appearing when trying to install " Printer Adapter not found". This also happens when trying to install on my other works Laptop. All the connections from the printer to the Adapter are Ok, and all the Led's are lit correct. My Laptop is approximately 2 feet in line from the Adapter, although I have tried moving them to only within 6 inches from each other without success. I have 3 Laptops and a Desktop on my home Network, and everything used to be fine, before changing ISP's. Since reverting back to my old ISP, I have renewed my Home network, and everything work fine, except my Printer. The printer works fine when connected to each Laptop or desktop via USB. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks. Billy

Can you log into the wireless adapter when connected with a usb cable?

I would dig out the manual and go through the setup routine as if it were a new device to your network. Things like the ssid IP address and gateway as well as it's IP address need to match the new routers settings.
