Hi New to the forum and need a little help, just moved into new place, and inherited an EnGenius EOR 7550, Mounted on a tree about 60feet from house, Connected to it is a 1 watt Amp, and what looks to be a directional outdoor Cantenna antenna, then there is an ethernet cable coming into the house.
This setup does work, it is picking up a public access and resending it on another radio, the problem is the house has aluminum siding, and the siginal is weak, many issues of unable to connect, limited or no connectivity, all depending on where I am in the house.
Is there a way I can use the ethernet cable coming into the house, which also powers the unit, and connect it to a router I have (NetGear wireless N 150) model WNR1000? If there is a way, could someone please help me through it?
New at this so please be a little descriptive, I've downloaded the manual for the eor7550, and it has like 18 different setup functions, but I'm still lost. Will take all the help I can get. Thanks to all...
You can connect the input to a regular LAN port of the Netgear and configure it this way.
Depending on the actual internal layout of the house and where you want to use the Wireless, it might be that you would need to lay cable inside to place the Netgear in a preffered location, or use even more Wireless Routers.
In nay case each internal Wireless Router has to be configured this way.

Thanks for your reply, thats what I figured, my problem lies in setting up
and changing the menu in the EOR 7550, to where it will send the signal through
the ethernet cable, and not the radio. thank you for link.
I assumed that the cable connection to the EnGenius works.
Can you connect to the EnGenius interface through the cable?
If not as a first step you have to take it down and connect it with a short wire to a computer and make sure that you have a way to control configure the EnGenius and make it work under controlled environment.
Otherwise, install an additional Wireless Router that is configured as a Wireless Bridge in a Window that looks at the EnGenius.
