    advice plz

    hi all I'm new to all this but been reading for a while just need some advice on the best way round it ....
    I'm trying to get my signal to a house less than 100 yards away but there is a house in the way.....i know for best results i need line of site, i can go higher on the house on the right but the house on the left is a ground floor flat..

    it might be a question that no1 can answer but worth an ask or am i just wasting my time ?
    what is the best way to use the euipment i have, use my linksys as a transmitter or a bridge ect

    the equipment i have .
    1x linksys router with dd-wrt
    1x Zyxel Zyair Ext-108 8dbi Omni Antenna 30cm rod
    1x old dlink wireless router
    1x yagi antenna on order 2.4ghz
    1x usb Alfa Network AWUS036H 1000mW

    Are you wasting your time? Probably, but you would not know unless you try.

    Use the D-link as the main Router inside the house.

    Configure the Linksys as an Access point connected to the D-Link with a cable, and put it as close as possible to the mast location, put on the mast the Mast the Yagi and direct it toward the second house.

    Use the Alpha in the second House to receive the signal.

    If it does not work well the next step is to get another Wireless Router that can be configured as a Cleint Bridge fit on it a high directional Antenna and hopefully it will connect the Linksys on the first house.

    The main idea in such topography is to avoid Wireless devices transmitting and receiving from inside the houses.

    They to be equipped with Antennae outside of the structure (short coax as possible) and use secondary Wireless Router inside the houses for the Local use in each house.
