Hi all,
I've been looking into setting up a hotspot for my vacation rental guests and have my wrt54gl all flashed with dd-wrt.
I would like my guests to pay for the wifi access (hey hotels make you pay, why not us rental owners??) so I'm looking for a solution on how to handle that.
I know from my research that there are companies such as worldspot, wifidog, hotspotsystems, etc. but how do I choose one? What questions should I ask or what makes one better than the other? I don't want to mess this tickets, just online billing if that helps.
Also, is there such thing as a combined free/paid solution? For example, can a user have say 15 minutes of free time and then be required to pay to continue having more time?
As I will not be at the rental (it's about 3500 miles away from me!) I don't think hosting it myself is an option....or is it? Can I host building my own computer where I am physically and set up/modify router and system remotely?
Any info or links to these questions would be greatly appreciated!!
Cheers, Dan
