Hello: I'm about to set up wireless Internet access in my home; at most, only trusted friends will use my wireless connection and even then very infrequently. I, however, might use it more regularly ... anyway, I've purchased the Linksys Wrt160 which claims it can "encode all wireless transmissions with industrial-strength 256-bit encryption" and has a very strong (SPI?) firewall ... My question is whether, given my use of the Linksys, would I benefit from using a service like WiTopia's (http://www.witopia.net/securemore.html) which says that it can secure my wireless connection? Am I correct that the "encryption" Linksys mentions refers to transmissions sent and received by/to me, and that the SPI firewall it what's going to keep people from entering my network? Sure, I could have e-mailed WiTopia or Linksys but I'm hopeful this forum will provide more objective commentary. Thanks.
