Hey there people.

I have an irritating problem on my hands. And I think alot of you know the pain it causes.

Your in the middel of a Elite battle in your online game and u get the connection interupted icon appearing.

And your like WTF??? And then it sets in the other peeps is starting to abuse ur bandwith with rubbish downloads.


I want to know how u can throttle the bandwith they use.

In my situation I dont have QoS on my router nor any other way of stopping them abuse the line.

Is there any way u can like throttle their download rate on their pc's without them knowing.

Even if i need to hide a program on there computers.

I can't ask them to stop then they get all emotional and cant understand

I dont have the funds to buy a new router so im stuck in a dead end fight.

I feel your Pain irrogue!!
I run a dedicated server for BFV yes a few of us are still crazy over this old game. And we are too cheap to all go buy a new game for lan fun.

Quite often we would all get connection problems. The wired pc's and the wireless and the 2 connections from the wan port. Even had it pop up when only 4 or 5 players on the LAN were connected.
I had a 3com router.
Recently I built a router from an old PC and a couple of nic cards. The software is called M0n0wall. Haven't seen that glitch since !!!

1 option that might work for you is if your router support Tomato or ddwrt firmware. Google them both and check out the compatibility list.
Other wise if your also on wireless First thing I'd try is plug that device in with a hunk of cable. I have 0 experince with the firmware mentioned above and will also mention when ever you flash firmware you run a risk of bricking your router.
