hi so i've been thinking, it might be time to upgrade my wireless router.

i currently have a Dlink 524 and it's been very good to me, till recently i added a NAS to the network and the wifi speed has been alittle disappointing.

so i have been thinking of upgrading, with 2 chooses

Belkin F5D9230-4 4 Port Wireless G MIMO Router 2.4GHZ 802.11 B/G MIMO
$59.99 cdn on sale for $36

Belkin F5D8233 N Wireless Router 802.11N Draft 4PT 10/100 WPA2 MIMO
$79.99 cdn

question 1: will MIMO improve data rates
question 2: is getting the N router better for G
question 3: how much of a improvident can i expect with either router
question 4: any other advise that is cheap

well i dont think my imac has MIMO, but will the MIMO G router still perform better?

it seems that the N will be the biggest improvement in overall performance.

looks like i'll wait till N is final next year or so, my current router (dlink 524) has a very fast 2.9mb/s transfer rate up and down.
