Hi,

This may not be possible but here is the situation.

I have a wireless network consisting of 9 Linksys WAP54G Access Points. I have approx 50 wireless Desktops/Laptop in the building. We recently install a server in the building (Ubuntu Linux) and are now backing up application data on a daily basis. We are testing different backup methods and I need to monitor the amount of bandwidth the backups are using.

Is there a way that I can see the bandwidth that every wireless client is using (by IP or By Mac) either by installing something on my Ubuntu server or on my own XP client.

Rgds

I'm guessing the data being backed-up is coming from the 50 laptops?

You could try MRTG. It's free, takes a little bit of work to configure, and is only as good as the SNMP data from your router/AP's if any.
