I have a Desktop PC with XP connected to the internet via a USB modem. Two other XP desktops also connect to the internet via a Belkin Hub LAN. All this works fine.

I have purchased a Laptop and this also connects fine to the the internet via the the same LAN.

However I wish to connect this laptop to internet, through the same Desktop PC, via a wireless connection.

The laptop has an integrated Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN mini-card and I have purchased a Belkin N1 Wireless USB adapter for the Desktop.

I have configured an Ad-hoc network and it seems to works okay, I can print from the Laptop to a printer connected to the Desktop but I cannot connect to the internet via the wireless connection. I am obviously missing something in the configuration, but I can't find out what.

Any help gratefully received. :)

Some info for others needing advice on this......

I've resolved the issue by manually assigning a default gateway on the Laptop.

Seems to work OK.
