I have Road Runner for my ISP. I've got a cable modem that goes to my Linksys wireless router. Can't I run my Netgear FWG114P after my router? If I hook it up before my router, I have no Net access. If I hook it up after my router, I get Net access but either way...I can't get to the Netgear's config pages.
The lights I have on are: PWR, ACT (Printer), 100 and Link/ACT (under Internet), and the WLAN lights...looks as though everything is lighting up OK.
I'm running WinXP Pro SP2. On the bottom of the Netgear, it says default IP is 192.168.0.1 which is different from my Linksys router but I can't access it. My router however has given it an IP address of its own. (192.168.1.104)
I bought the Netgear used, could it be bad? Maybe someone with more networking experience can figure this out.
Any help is appreciated...
