I have searched the forum and cannot locate an issue similar to mine, hopefully someone can help...
I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 with the Intel 2200bg card installed. The laptop will briefly connect to my home wireless network (Linksys Wrt54g cable router), but within a few minutes will disconnect and cannot find any networks to connect to. I also have a desktop and another laptop working in my home that connect all the time without issue. The 9300 will see my network and two of my neighbors when working, but when it's not working sees nothing. Rebooting and restarting does not help, but shutting the laptop down and leaving off for awhile, e.g. overnight, will allow me to see networks and briefly connect but only for 5 minutes or so. It will then say it has lost it's connection and cannot find any networks again.
I have tried all of the normal troubleshooting, using Windows to manage the connection, the Intel software, changing most of the adaptor settings, etc. but if the machine is left off for awhile....it WILL connect regardless.
The driver for the adaptor is 9.04.39 dated Dec 2007....
Please help!
