First post, do your IT departments do proper risk assessement on progressions in 802.11 mainly new types of wireless devices that can connect to your WLAN.
And what sorts of things do you consider from a security perspective? I'm trying to build up kind of a checklist of security parameters to consider for each new type of 802.11 device that users want to use to connect to the WLAN.
I've attempted this on quite a few new types of wireless / handheld / mobile devices prior to recommending whether they are fit to connect to our WLAN, but I'm interested in the sorts of things you consider before giving a yes or no on whether they should, or shouldnt connect.
