I know some of you may think that I should be posting this over on some Xbox 360 forum but all I get are the non-creative answers like "go buy this" or "just plug in ethernet" or something of those sorts.
I am trying to do the non-expensive DIY way first, plus its fun to experiment and find out what does and does not work. I have had some luck with the DIY Windsurfer to accessing one of the free wifi hotspots but I just can't seem to get FULL strength from it. The Windsurfer (slightly modded) gives me 3 out of 4... compared to only 2 of 4 w/o it. I have issues with the shortness of the USB cable for the adapter, and I wonder if I could use an extension usb cord to give me some playing room for other DIY options such as the wok wifi etc.
Has anyone other than me tried to boost signal from the Xbox 360 or am I the guinea pig????
