Hi all :

1) Could any one lemme know what are the differences at the MAC Layer in 802.11a , b and g?

2) which simulation modelers/tools can I use for simulating 802.11g features ? (Opnet supports 802.11a and b).

(I am a student and new to this subject , so just trying to clarify some of my doubts )

Thanks and Regards.

Same MAC layer but different Physical layer(Modulation technique,encoding..) for 802.11 a/b/g. MAC parameter changes depend upon the Physical layer.

You can use NS2 (Network Simulator) for MAC simulation
