winter

I am planning on running WiFi from my apartment in Jersey City to my datacenter in downtown NYC. The apartment in JC is high altitude (20th floor), and in NYC it is on the 6th floor. In between the two points, there is the remainder of the building I am in (a metal door with glass window, Hallway, metal door with glass window, wall, and then an apartment building (about 30 stories), after that, just air over the hudson river, then my apartment. Basically I would really like to run 802.11a, but I haven't found any antenna's for 802.11a (anyone know of any?)
I suppose, I can settle for 802.11b, but then the question stands, will two 14db antennas be able to penetrate the structure in the way?
I definately want this to be at least 4 megabit -- but I am really hoping on getting full 54Mbit.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
