Network adapter help

Hi im using windows vista with dell 1490 wireless. When i connect to airodump it says cannot find network adapter. can someone please tell me how to fix this? i downloaded the driver and it says the same thing.

Well your first problem is going to be Vista. There isn't really any support for vista. I have run in to may times that something said it was the vista driver and it still just doesn't work.

Also, depending on what you are trying to accomplish you might be able to use other tools.

Ethereal will capture 802.11 packets
Kismet has a Windows port but I'm not sure how compatible it is with Vista.
