USB adapters?

I used INEXQ UR055G for a day and was wondering if I upgraded to Linksys WUSB54G wouldn't waste time and money.

The signal is receive is weak and choppy from public hot spots. I use it from my work area on the third floor 10-30 feet from the window.

What are the best adapters for long range and through buildings?

Any helpful websites?
