I have access to surplus military UHF/VHF antennas, as well as SATCOM antennas. Most of them were designed for LOS "backpack" radios. They are about a foot long, rubberized and ruggedized. a few "spider" types too. would these work for wifi. 2.4ghz falls into the uhf range, but would I get any noticable gain?

I don't think the uhf/vhf military antenna's will work for wifi since they are in the 200 - 400 MHZ and 118 - 133 MHZ range. Wifi is in the 2.4 GHz range. If you would be interested in selling some of them I might be interested. You can send me a reply through the thread. Specifically, what part numbers do the parts have, and how much do you think you would need.

thanks
