Can someone tell me what the difference is between these two products please. My church needs a router and I got elected to decide what to buy. We have 3 computers within the church and they are approximately 100 plus feet apart. One is hooked to the Internet and the other two are not. I dont have a clue as to what to buy. I use a Netgear router in my home which has a tendency to drop off the Internet once in a while. Rebooting it solves the problem but I dont want that happening in church. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The first one is NOT a router. The Buffalo product you linked is a ethernet bridge, where that device connects to a wireless network and then shares that wireless connection via ethernet ports to wired devices.

The second one is a router.

for the remote two pc's will you be hard wiring those PC's or will you be using wireless to share the internet?

If you wan to go the cheap route, check out the Buffalo HP-G125 can be found at circuit city for around $40 or so. Then install www.dd-wrt.com it is a third party firmware that basically turns that $40 router into a router that can do the same things that a $600 - $1000 router can do, and the uptime on them is amazing, no need for reboots, or the great thing about it is that you can set the router to reboot on its own every night, in the middle of the night so that it'll clear itself out and not lock up at all, which is great so you don't have to support it.

Thank you Josh,

Shows how much I know about routers. Yes, we will be using wireless to share the Internet. I am going to look into this suggestion of yours concerning the Buffalo HP-G125 immediately.

Thank you so very much,
