Hello Friends,
I need your suggestion on which WAP to use in office while implementing WLAN. I have tried Cisco 1200 Aironets before for public wireless but things I want to implement in WLAN are totally missing in these Aironets. Thats why I need your help, so please suggest me.
I need WAP which has following features:
1. 802.11 a/b/g compatible
2. Good Encryption (encryption which can be applied without additional
hardware like WPA-PSK or something you can suggest.
3. MAC address filter
4. No SSID broadcast
5. Monitoring if possible
Thanks in advance.

I believe the Cisco AP can support all of those features.
Also look at 3Com and DLink business class AP's.

the only AP that I know of that can do all of that, and easily is Cisco. My question though why are you looking at a A/B/G ap? Whats the need for A?

Actually I more intrested in G, I just put a and b for the backward compatibility.
As per the suggestion from you all, I think I will go for Cisco again. How about Cisco Aironets 1240 or 1242? Does anybody has any kind of experience with these?

all the cisco AP's are all the same, in terms of how to configure them. As long as its IOS its all the same.

If there are other wireless networks in the area, you might want to use 802.11a to avoid interference problems.

IMO, it is hard to go wrong with Cisco AP's. Rock solid.

Somehow the MAC filetring is not working properly on the Cisco 1200. It is still allowing the machines which are not part of the allow policy.
Any idea?

if your using a good security policy (IE WPA) there really is NO need for mac filtering.

WPA TKIP PSK with these Cisco Aironets is not possible. And for WPA radius server is needed which at present we dont have. Thats why I am looking for MAC filtering.
