Hey guys i was wondering if you guys could provide me with some support

Situation:
I have a concrete house and two access points which are installed on each floor of the house which are then linked via cat5e to a switch which is then connected to my router which feeds the internet to the connected terminals.

I want to know:
I recently purchased a VOIP phone and there is a slight issue i need to go between floors with the phone and if the phone is connected to one access point is it possible to register/get the phone to swap between the second access point when signal is lost.

How do i go about bridging the access points together? Do i give them the same SSID? Are there any access points on the market or repeaters that i could purchase to do the job... My router does have the ability to extend its areals but i dont want to do that i would prefer to use the cat5e cable and plug it into a device etc.

If both AP's have the same SSID and are far apart between channels (1 & 11), the phone will roam between APs however, I wouldn't count on maintaining a decent phone call when it roams.

The phone will make the decision to roam when the signal level of its current connection drops below a certain level. That level is probably too low to maintain a good call before it switches to the second AP.
