Hi,

Getting ready to upgarde wireless network. Have a few questions regrading the above protocols.

To start with we have all Linksys Access points 54G, and I'm getting all linksys dongles Wireless G for all desktops.

There are two models WUSB54GC and WUSB54GSC

THe first supports WPA and the second Supports 802.11i

I know that 802.11i is the best security out there but there has to be drawbacks, throughput etc.

Will the performance lower if the security is set to 802.11i?

How bad is WPA really, I know it 128Bit encryption, how easy is this to hack?

ANy comments, suggestions, your experiences will be appreciated
Chris

I would suggest using the adapter that uses 802.11i ie WPA2. It just makes sense to use the latest encryption scheme.

I also would like to dissuade you from using those devices if possible. If you are working with desktops I would attempt to use the PCI cards if at all possible.
