As it's been since 1868, Memorial Day will be observed on the last Monday of May which is May 28th this year.
What are you going to do this year to observe Memorial Day?
If you're not sure what you can do to commemorate our fallen heroes, here are a few ideas:
* Adorn the graves of the soldiers with flags or flowers.
* Visit veteran cemeteries and war memorials.
* Furl the American Flag at half-mast until noon on.
* Furl the 'POW/MIA Flag'.
* Share a moment of silence for just one minute at 3 p.m., 'National Moment of Remembrance'. You may even hear "Taps" being played.
* Take a pledge to aid the disabled veterans, widows, widowers and orphans of the dead who have kept you free, keep your pledge.
* Simply Offer thanks to a veteran and the families of fallen soldiers.
Lets all help to continue to teach the younger generations the importance of this sacred day for all Americans and share your ideas to commemorate this day.
