Hey all!
I've got the weirdest problem ever. I've installed quite a few wireless networks and I've searched the net extensively but can't find another case like this, let alone a fix.
The setup is this: D-Link DI-524 (B2, which means no firmware to update) behind a simple DSL router.
One desktop pc connected by cable, two other desktops on the wireless. This all runs fine. Now when we connect with one of our two laptops to that same wireless, only the wired desktop keeps the connection active. Both desktops on wireless keep the connection, reception being excellent as before, but all network activity fails. Trying to repair the connection doesn't work, you can find the network in the air, but you simply cannot connect.
Switching of the laptops or their connection and waiting a minutes lets you reconnect on both wireless desktops again.
Now how can it be that another wireless connection boots all other systems using the wireless? It's like it keeping count or something. My guess is the D-Link is busted, but I'm hoping someone here can confirm or have some other issues to look at before I go and buy a new router...
Thanks,
Johan
