I glanced around in the forums to see if there was a solution to my problem and since I didnt find one, am posting it here.
I bought a DI-524 a few days back and sold my existing PC and got myself a Notebook. I have a ADSL modem that I used to use with my PC to connect to the Internet.
I have connected my modem's ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports on the Di-524 and Vista detected everything and I was able to configure Internet access by entering all the relevant details i.e IP,Gateway,DNS.
But I am unable to access the router configuration page so that I can set WEP password.
The manual asks me to try http://192.168.0.1 and everytime I try that I get a connection Timeout message.
My question is, is it necessary to have atleast one computer connected to the router physically to access this page. If not, then I dont understand what is stopping the router from accessing that configuration page?
Can anyone help me please?
