I set-up a wireless bridge using 2 WRT54GL routers in 2 separate buildings about 30 meters apart. Ideally I'd like to use outdoor antenna at both locations, but one of them is a church and the other is the church parsonage. So I'm using a 8db directional in the parsonage and 2 7db wips on the one in the church. Both buildings are sided with aluminum. So what I'd like to know is would I get a better signal shooting through a window in the parsonage? And for the church, would I get a better signal shooting through a concrete block wall or going through a wall and the aluminum siding? Oh, it is about a 45 degree angle on the surface of the buildings that we are trying to pass the signal through. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For starters, you need to try and eliminate mounting the antenna on or through metal siding. Going thru concrete won't work either.

Can you mount the antenna's on the roof?
