Up until yesterday my wireless connection worked fine. I have 2 computers, mine being the one connecting wirelessly to the router. Router is a D-Link DI-624 Xtreme G router. I have a Dimension 5150 connecting to the router with a Dell USB wireless network card(model #1450) 802.11/4/b/g. No new software or hardware has been added to the pc.

The internet connection on the other computer(Computer A) is working fine. Computer A connects to the router with an ethernet cable.
Also my PS3 is able to find my wirless network i had setup with no problem. It is only my computer(Computer B) which is unable to see ANY networks. I have uninstalled and re-installed the wirless card driver on computer B.

I tried downloading an updated driver from dell's website. I have tried to get an ip address off computer B, but only get an error message of "Media state............: Media disconnected"

I have tried uninstaling and re-installing the drivers with no sucess. I even tried doing a system resotre for a few days ago and had no luck.

Any ideas??

Hello Gr8GaZu,

Yes! generally its an accidential issue; I've got a few possible solutions for you. (1) there might be an On/Off switch on the computer that might have been turned off. You will find it on the front generally, and turn it back on.

(2) There might be a "Red X" on your network adapter making it disabled; find the icon "My Computer", <Right Click> on it, then <click> Properties, then <click> Device Manager, in DM find the network adapter with the "RED X", <Rt Click> then select Enable, which removes that "Red X" and that should take care of it.

Hope either of those is the issue, if neither of those work, we'll go into the settings; more on that later.

Good luck!
