The links to Wi-Lan's news releases are just advertising.

Posting Links to unvarnished press releases does appear an infraction of the rules. A better tactic would be say a certain product is popular in the UK and not in the U.S. -- and ask why. Answers could be valuable to breaking into the American market.

ua549: most news listed on this web site would then be deemed advertising - please define. Dream on if you think there isn't a link between companies advertising and the editorial of this (or any) web site.
esutherland: the last time I looked I was not able to comment directly to the editors - which is what I would have perferred. Hence the comment here.
Anyway, a 192 MB product is no interest to your readership? Who else has that kind of product. Enough said.

If you were trying to make a comment to the editors of the site you would have posted only your comment rather than links to advertising, a violation of AUP.

Management appear not to support your view that they are advertising - so I think you are on your own with that. They are news about 802.11a products from a company with important IP rights to 802.11a.
Anyway most companies put adverts on trade mags or newspapers, where I come from.
