Newbee Antenna question

I am completely new to this wifi stuff....my new wifi service provider wants me to eith rent an antenna for 16.95 a month or buy one for $295.00....what is the best antenna the dish type or the one that looks like a uhf antenna...I have to cut some trees down in my woods for this to work also I about 10 miles from the transmitter but the service provider says when he surveyed my site I had great signal strength in my area...any ideas greatly appreciated thanks :)

You would have to use the CPE device that your service provider recommends and before spending a penny, considering the distance and trees, it may be wise to ask for a 30 day trial.
