Guys,
I just need a bit of simple info.
So I have.......
(1.) Comcast Cable going to a Desktop using a Motorola SB5100 Cable Modem.(2.) A new laptop with a 3945a/g/b wireless card.
Heh, I can already surf the net via some neighbors but for how long?
Lets say I get a wireless router and get it and my laptop talking and run the cable hose through the modem to the router to the PC. (I think)
What are the capabilities when using my laptop from another room or on the deck outside?
Can I surf with the laptop through my own comcast connection?
Can I download a file from the net via laptop and sent it to my desktop harddrive?
Other than being independant of my neighbors internet connection what are some basic things can I do?
