I am setting up a home network with both wired and wireless connections. I got it set up with Network Magic and it seems to work OK. Thing is, I would like to be able to restrict some aspects of it to keep my kids from changing settings ect. Is there another program out there that would both help me set up the network and administer it, with like an admin/client relationship?
Thanks for your advice.
Irvin.

Most wireless routers allow you to set an administrator user name and password.

The standard way to connect if you have not changed the factory default IP address is to use your browser and go to 192.168.1.1. That will take you to the administration pages of the router. If it is a Linksys the admin password can be set under the Administration tab. Others may be in a different location but this should lock your kids out.
