I've always had trouble with VOIP service. Once, I could make outgoing calls, but there was a constant busy signal whenever someone tried calling me. With another one, there was a similar problem. Which is the best, especially for the Michigan area? Thanks!

You really need to go into a lot more detail than this. Have you been using any QoS settings? This may not be (and, I submit, probably is not) a provider issue at all.

I'm not sure about the settings. Sorry, I'm not a techy type person. I think that the three companies who I had service with were so new that they hadn't yet perfected their product. That's the only explanation I can come up with. I have VOIP service through my cable provider now, but it's part of a bundle, but I'd like the phone to be separate, yet still affordable.

Were the problems constant, or a function of activity on the internet connection? What type of throughput do you get on your connection?
