hello,
I just set up wireless internet to use on my ibm thinkpad laptop. I purchased a Netgear WGT624 v3 wireless firewall router. Everything seems to be running fine. My laptop is picking up the signal and my network but none of my browsers(mozilla,Internet Explorer) are functioning. If i double click on a browser, it takes a while to load and finally ill get an error message of "the page cannot be displayed". This is really baffling because I took my laptop to work and it works fine there with the wireless network set up there... I appreicate your help

Get to a command prompt and ping www.yahoo.com. If that does not work, ping 209.191.93.53 and see if that works. Also while you are at the command prompt try the command ipconfig /all and publish it here.

If you are truly making a wireless connection with the router it appears that the DNS server information is incorrect.

What did your ISP tell you to use as DNS servers and did you enter them into the web based configuration page on the DLink router?

Just to make sure when you pinged the 209.XX IP address it timed out?

Do you have any third party firewall or security applications on this computer? If so disable them and try the tests again.
