Hi,
I have a PC with a wireless card running in ad-hoc mode to allow it to connect with devices as part of an ad-hoc network. This machine is also connected to a wired LAN using a 2nd network card. I want to find out if its possible for wireless devices to access the LAN through this machine. (Incidentaly I'm actually I'm hoping that it isn't possible for security reasons as others have expressed concerns about the security issue)
I assume that each network card would have an entirely different IP stack associated with each, and so it would require some higher level bridging to actually allow traffic across???? Would this be right, or is there a risk that someone could access the fixed LAN through this machine.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Robert
