Are there any sites available that explain the configuration of WPA versus WEP?

It would appear that equipment will have to be replaced when migrating from WPA to 802.11i.
- Will both the access points and cards have to be replaced for 802.11i ?
- Are there any good websites that explain this?
- What are the configuration options to avoid replacing the equipment – while supporting WPA and migrating to 802.11i?

I am a college student doing a paper on 802.11 and any help from the excellent forum posters would be appreciated!

I don't know of any good sites, I will try and give you some answers here:

Probably, your best bet is to Google for one.

Correct, in most cases.

>- Will both the access points and cards have to be replaced for 802.11i ?

Yes. Most do not have the horsepower to handle AES.

My sources tell me that Enterasys has APs that will not need to be replaced. I do not know of any other final statements from manufacturers at this time. There are no "configuration options" per se, either your AP will support TKIP/AES or it will not, AFAIK.
