Ok, I thought that this would be easy but I was so wrong!
I recently purchased a Netgear WGR614 Wireless Router because I wanted to setup a 2 PC network in my house. 1 PC has a normal wired connection but the second is a wireless enabled Laptop.
I began setting up but ran into problems straight away, basically because I have a USB-only broadband modem and the router will not connect to it because I need an ethernet connection.
Now, on my PC I have a LAN ethernet socket and an internal Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection.
My question is; can I use this to connect to the internet instead of my USB broadband modem and, in turn, can I use this to connect to the wireless router in order to set up my home network?
Or should I take the Netgear WGR614 back and exchange it with a router that has an internal ADSL modem?
If someone can give me some advice it would be appreciated.
Thanks

The easiest approach is to talk to your ISP and see if they can set you up with the correct device. The USB style connection will just be painful to get to work with more than one computer. Most ISPs have the correct device or will recommend one.
