I have my Dell hard-wired through my Linksys WRT54G to the internet and my printer connected to the Dell. My HP accesses the internet wirelessly and I have no issues. I can see my shared directories from the Dell on the HP and have no problems printing from the Dell. I cannot see the from the HP, much less the printer. Any solutions to help me figure this out?
Thanks,
Scott
Do you have a third party firewall installed? If so disable it for now. Do you have username and passwords activated on both computers? If not do so and have a common username and password for both computers. Then follow the advice on this link.

One day, for no reason I could find, my wife could no longer see any shared resources on our wireless network. Needless to say, she was pissed. Since I am no network guru, it took me about a week of surfing the 'net looking for an answer. I finally had to set it up to access the printer via the host computers IP.
To do this for a printer, click on Start>Printers and Faxes. In the window that opens up, click on 'Add a printer'. Click on 'Next', then select, 'A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer'. Click 'Next' then select, 'Connect to this printer (or to browse for a printer, select this option then click Next).
In the 'Name' box, type something similar to this:
\\192.168.xxx.xxx\printer name
where 'xxx.xxx' is the rest of the IP of the host machine and 'printer name' is the name of the printer.
I hope this works for you.

I see the light, now. I added the IP of my HP as a trusted zone in Zone Alarm and it works now.
Thanks for the advice.
