Can't Connect To A Network...

I'm trying to connect to a linksys network that I've connected to in the past at my friends house, but for some reason now I am getting maxium signal strength and everything looks fine and dandy, but I am not able to use my internet. Long story short, it says I'm connected, but is acting like I'm not. Is there anyone out there that can help me?

...I don't have a problem connecting at other places like my house, etc.

Making a wireless connection and a network connection are different processes.

The wireless part appears to be working so we need to look at the network connection...

Check to see if you get an IP address from the Linksys network.

Are the other wireless computers on the network operating?

What happens if you connect your laptop directly to the router with a network cable?

Have you rebooted the router?
