I have a notebook with a Intel Pro 3945ABG wireless adapter, and I need an access point (or router) to go with it. I'm looking for good speed. Can I use one of the newer 108Mbps routers (MIMO/SRX/SuperG) to get better speed, or will they just drop down to regular G (54Mbps)? Any thoughts or recommendations would be very welcome!

Unless you have the client device for the proprietary speed enhancing technology, that will not be an advantage. There is some advantage to getting a MIMO device, all though it will be less significant due to the fact that you are not using the prefered client device once again.

For now if you have a typical situation, I would suggest getting the normal AP or wireless router. I would be more concerned about where you are going to locate it to obtain optimal coverage throughout the facility.
