I'm running a small home network with my Draytek Vigor2200w router.
Currently it's only this computer (workstation) directly connected to the router, and one Dell Inspiron 4100 laptop connected using Dell's TrueMobile WLAN Pc-card.

I have shared a drive on my workstation that contains several large files, 500mb+ .

When I move small files over to my laptop everything is fine, but when I try to move large files the transfer jams after a couple of megs.

I receive no error-messages, and after one of these "jams" I can't access the shared drive or web either...

The only way (that I've figured out) to fix the connection again, is to connect (with my workstation, since the laptop connection is dead) to my router, and change the ESSID name to something else, to then update the WLAN list on my laptop and connect to the new name.
Rebooting doesn't help, neither does repair connection....

any advice?

It sounds like a problem with the router...firmware or wireless I am not sure.

Not all 802.11b wireless gateways are created equal.
