I have read many articles about this topic, but I could not find the short answer.

These the articles that I have read :

http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/article.php/1563991

http://www.tomsnetworking.com/2002/10/25/wireless_bridging_ntk/

http://www.computing.net/networking/wwwboard/forum/23001.html

Does a wireless bridge connect wired (does not have wireless NIC card) devices (PC, Printer, ect) to an AP ?

I see that LinkSys WAP54G can be configured into operating in four modes :

1- Access Point.
2- I omitted this
3- Wireless Bridging.
4- I omitted this

Yes with some stipulations. If you read TomsNetworking article, that is the one that explains it the clearest and has the best information. The one point that is predominant is that in almost all cases if you are using APs to make a bridge link, is that they be the same make and model.
