DWL 2100AP Comments

Hello,

My company is using DWL 2100AP with ANT24-1801 18 dBi Directional Yagi Antenna from remote campus and main campus with a distance of 7 Kms. as a setup, we use WDS Mode, using one computer accessing the remote server works perfect but then when we use several or approx. 40 computers accessing remote server has a big problem, the ping timeout reaches 20000 ms, We dont have any problem before cause we use DWL 900AP, even we reach many computer the ping timeout wont reach that high.

For some info heres my setup in DWL 2100AP

40 users on a dlink 2100 AP with no QoS is overload....

Even with QoS configured, I think you would be lucky to support half that many users doing typical day to day file transfers, research, etc which of course is difficult to say what is typical but you’re going to want to complete a survey of the area and determine the proper coverage.
