I have a Toshiba notebook with a built-in wireless LAN adapter which is used to access wireless networks. One time, I was browsing the net and I found a USB adapter that supports both client and access point modes. I Purchased it. Ans I used this new usb adapter as access point mode and I managed to select an SSID. I also managed to make the SSID visible by all surrounding users and they can loging to me PC. But I noticed that the IP which there are getting is direclty from the router which I'm also logged to. This means if my PC is logged in to a Hotspot, the other users which are using my PC as a bridge will still need a permission from the original Hotspot.
My question is: Can the users login to my PC an obtain IP's from PC and they use the net without the knowledge of the router (or the hotspot)??

Thanks in Advance..

I assume the notebook is using WinXP. If so you can setup ICS and the notebook will act as a proxy server. Please be forewarned that it is a rather convoluted and somewhat difficult to understand configuration. This link should help.
