Hi,

The scenario:
I live in a residence of buildings, we have three buildings with wired networks but they're not interconected between themselves. The separation between the buildings is 100mt aprox. and we want to interconnect them with wireless.

The question:
Is it possible to interconect the buildings with an Access Point and two Bridges?.... Linksys for example.

or How can i do this?another option?

I see the linksys WAP54GPE, but it is expensive to us.

Thanks .....

That is exactly what you should do. Have the one building that is the most accessible to the other two be the one with the access point and have the other two buildings be the bridge clients.

Make sure whatever brand it is that you get all three of the same make and model, as then you know they will work together.

or instead of bridges, get a linksys WRT or equivalant hardware, I am running Buffalo Tech WHR-HP-G54 wireless routers, install thrid party firmware like DD-WRT.

With the Third party firmware you can run the APs in WDS mode which makes the AP run in AP mode, Client mode, and Bridge mode all in one.

So whats nice is if building B is in the middle, Building B's AP would connect to A and C but if B went down A and C could still conmmunicate with each other, ect... Makes for a nice redundant coverage.

I currently do something similar in my town home development and it works out flawlessly.
