hi all, i'm a reporter for salon and i'm hoping that someone on the list here can help me figure out if there's any kind of wi-fi backlash brewing.
specifically, i've heard rumors that the FCC is planning to crack down on 802.11 -- at the behest of sirius radio and other the large telcos -- but has anyone heard of this actually happening? does anyone even know whether there are any rules that would make 802.11 devices illegal or problematic? and has anyone encountered complaints, from telcos, the FCC or anyone else?
