My neighbour has a Dell Truemobile 1170 wireless base station connected to a dsl modem. He accesses this from a laptop with pccard and all works ok
The Dell is not capable of 'bridging' or 'repeating'
I have 3 pcs (Win98) cabled to an 8 port switch.
These pcs see each other OK.
I plugged in a Krone Airlan access point which i can access from any pc.
I can't however access the Dell from this AP.
I have tried configuring it as a bridge only and statically assigned sequential IP addresses.
I have tried configuring it as an IP router and assigned a sequential adress to the Wan, changing all my Lan adresses to a new sequence.
If I unplug a pc from the ethernet and plug a Krone USB Airlan I can acess the Dell and the AP without a problem from the same location as the AP and access the other 2 pcs via the AP.
I have in short tried everything I can think of and though your forums have been very informative I am still not clear whether I am totally off track with this.
